Since its establishment, CCG has paid close attention to international relations and China's foreign affairs, tracking the development and changes of China's bilateral economic and trade relations with the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, Australia, the Middle East and other countries and regions, and has been devoted to research on China-US-Europe cooperation, the Belt and Road Initiative, WTO reform, CPTPP and other multilateral topics, as well as providing recommendations for policymaking.
The annual flagship forums held by CCG for successive years have contributed to discussion on China-U.S. relations and China-EU cooperation, promoted international exchange, and given full play to the role of think tanks in track II diplomacy. CCG regularly conducts research and exchanges in multiple countries, and published a series of Chinese and English research reports on China-U.S. economy and trade relations.
The think tank hosts a series of roundtable seminars all year round, and invites think tank experts and scholars, political leaders, business elites and diplomats from the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia, Japan, Germany, Egypt and other countries to discuss and exchange views on international relations and multilateral cooperation.

On December 3, 2018, the Center for China and Globalization and the Development Research Institute of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics jointly released the 2018 Bluebook Report on Chinese Enterprise Globalization at CCG Beijing Headquarters, which is published by the Social Sciences Academic Press of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Two-Way Street: 2018 Update U.S.-China Direct Investment Trends
Amidst rising tension in the Sino-U.S. economic relationship, on April 19, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) hosted a roundtable in Beijing, bringing together experts from China and the U.S. to discuss foreign direct investment (FDI) between the two countries. The event marked the China launch of a new report, Two-Way Street: 2018 Update on the US-China Direct Investment Trends, a research project led by the Rhodium Group and the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR).

ADBI Dean Speaks at CCG about Infrastructure Project Financing in Asia
Infrastructure construction is a key element in the Belt and Road Initiative. Dr. Yoshino proposed to attract private financing to Infrastructure Investment by injecting spillover tax revenues. Taking the STAR highway project in the Philippines for instance, he proved the spillover effect of the infrastructure building investment can effectively increase tax revenue, and part of the profits can be shared with the investors. Using the railway project in Uzbekistan, he emphasized that connectivity can expand the spillover effect, especially the connectivity of the markets.
